A message from my heart about Health & Wellness

Along my journey of life, stress has impacted my well-being, as I am sure it has all impacted yours. Stress and other natural rhythms of life have impacted my mental health in ways I never imagined. This lead to an impact on my physical health leading to gut issues and autoimmunity. Stress has taken me places I didn’t want to be and now I see it as a gift because it has led to me this place of healing, my mission, purpose, and truly this beautifully connected and expansive place that is only just beginning.

Over the last couple of years, a lot has transitioned for me and I have certainly transformed! I am more than eager and excited to be a holistic nurse with a focus on self-healing tools ( so many here!) , yoga and meditation, plant medicine including cannabis, herbs, food, and functional medicine. Reflecting on my own story of life and challenges and finding the courage within me to begin this healing journey, studying cannabis and herbal medicine, and as well as functional medicine, I have decided I want to guide others in learning how to manage their stressors and see its power in preventative medicine .

Stress, stored emotions, minor and major trauma, genetics, social constructs, and our upbringing impacts us emotionally, psychologically, spiritually, and physically. Our bodies carry our truth and so much wisdom. Carving out time for intentional practices to nourish our body, mind, and spirit is healing. It aids in our overall wellness, joy being a part of our wellness, vitality, and longevity. It is time for us to step into our sovereignty and become sovereign in our own wellness.

Stress is the root cause of so many conditions and ailments. To highlight some that I plan to focus on in my career is the health of our gut and microbiome, women’s health & hormonal health, as well as inflammation. Stressors, gut health, and inflammation are at the root cause of MANY preventable chronic diseases.

Stressors range and there are so many different kind of stressors. Each of us carry our own story and makeup within and we each respond to stressors differently.

I am here to tell you there is much more beyond the traditional healthcare system in the US to help you mend and heal. We no longer can depend on a system that is not supporting us in our holistic wellness. I am not here to put down this system or allopathic medicine because there is absolutely a time and place we need this medicine and we are overdue in embracing our own responsibility in our health as well as implementing complementary medicine.

As I have pointed out, stress is at the root cause of much illness or at least a contributing factor. Have our systems taught us how to manage stress? How is our youth learning to manage stress?

I am here to shift the paradigm in the wellness community. It is time for us to recognize the medicine in self-care, self-love, an intentional pause, meditation, reflection, community, breathwork, joy, and I could go on…

There is much more beyond the “conventional” medicine model that needs to be recognized as medicine.

We don’t need to catch up, we need to slow down.

We no longer have to define health as the absence of disease. Health should be something that makes us feel ALIVE and should be optimized as we live out this precious gift of live each day.

With so much love,

Ali <3
